We offer four varieties of heirloom garlic. Our hardneck varieties are Music, Romanian and Siberian. Our softneck variety is Polish White and is also featured in our garlic braids.

Music

Music Garlic is an Italian hardneck variety. It is known for its large, easy to peel cloves, strong garlic flavor and medium spiciness. One of the most popular types of garlic for cooking. Music garlic has a very high allicin content. The plants produce large bulbs containing 4-6 large cloves. This is a great all purpose culinary garlic!

Our culinary garlic bulb size is one and half to two inches.

We take great care in curing the garlic so it is suitable for storage.

Romanian Red

Romanian Red, like most porcelains is a large and beautiful garlic with rich robust flavor that is strong. Romanian Red is high in allicin a medicinal compound in garlic. Also, a secret ingredient to BBQ sauce. A hot strong porcelain that stores well. If you like a hot, pungent garlic, this one is for you!

Our culinary garlic is bulbs are one and a half to two inches in diameter.

Siberian

Siberian garlic is one of the most medicinal types of garlic! It is striped with pink or purple, and the skin becomes a deeper purple with each layer that is stripped away. There are 5-8 plump, medium-sized cloves and each clove is encased in a hard, red-brown skin. When peeled open, the clove is smooth and creamy white. Siberian garlic is pungent and hot, but not overwhelming, with a slightly musky aroma. When cooked, it becomes delicate, mild, and creamy with a sweet aftertaste. This is a great all purpose culinary and medicinal garlic!

Garlic Braids

Frux Farm specializes in creating unique heirloom garlic braids that are sure to brighten up any kitchen. Braids are a traditional way of curing garlic and each braid contains 1 lb of the culinary delight. When stored properly in a cool dark spot, they will last until winter.
